Campo d’Oro has been producing a vast line of preserves, continuing and reinventing a family tradition that has been dedicated to the production of preserves for 2 generations. The company has built a new factory with high-tech machinery, to offer a product that reflects the Sicilian culinary tradition with modern processing technologies to meet the market demands.

Their processing method uses the very best of modern machinery to be cooked at low temperatures so that they maintain all their organoleptic and vitaminic properties and profit from prolonged preservation. This vacuum technology also allows the recovery of volatile aromas, which should be dispersed in the environment.

Campo d’Oro has recently joined America Food Awards 2020 and has received a Gold Award for their Campo d’Oro Marinara Tomato Sauce, awarded by America-Newspaper.com.

Question 1: Do you already export to America? If yes, where? If no, what type of importers & distributors are you looking for in America?

Campo D’Oro sells its products in the US through Campo D’Oro USA based in Illinois. Our sales team covers the full country. In addition, we offer items through local specialty distributors to independent stores

We have inventory in the US and distribute to several grocery chains as Rouses Supermarket LA, Central Market TX, Fairway NY and many others.

We cooperate with many national and regional distributors and are always ready to look for new business opportunities. Our sales team is ready to support any interest or query

Question 2: What is the most unique and qualitative part of your products, different from competitors?

We are based in Sicily, in Southern Italy. Hence the strong tradition and the quality of the ingredients give the product homemade flavour. We use ingredients coming from our region as Product of Designed Origins including cheese from Ragusa, Pistachio from Bronte, Almonds from Avola. Our pasta sauces ready to use and prepared as grandmother used to do and still do for family gatherings. Our marinara has fresh basil for a real Italian meal experience. Pistachio cream and pesto are unique in the retail scenario and are growing in the domestic market and US. We make pesto with a Sicilian twist to the regular pesto you commonly find in the market. Trapanese pesto or Pesto Pistachio is a unique pesto experience. You will savour our Pistachio Butter and Chocolate Butter until the last spoonful.

Despite this luxury positioning, our price point is competitive and in line with the everyday use

Question 3: When did you start to export your brand worldwide, and what is your development plan for the next years?

Campo D’Oro started its activity more than 30 years ago and our goal was giving the possibility for Italians expats to have food making them feel at home. Then it was a success and we started to export more and more from the very beginning.

Our strategy is to strengthen our presence in the US with our brand Campo D’Oro in the supermarket grocery shops
